I have decided to sell my Moggie to help finance further work on the Rover P4. I had an offer which was for the car but not for the original reg no which in fairness had inflated the price.

I agreed to keep the number and reduce the price accordingly, this wouldn't have been my choice, but I wanted the car gone. The new owners then trotted out extras they wanted at their expense. Seat belts front and rear, fair enough, but a bit involved with an early Minor. A pair of door mirrors and a boot rack. Adding everything up it's close to the price of the car keeping its original number.

The moggie then had its revenge, first of all the starter motor packed up. I stripped it down and found it badly worn, so a new one was fitted at my expense. This morning a couple of days after the new MOT I noticed a pool of oil on the garage floor by the back wheel. The hub seal had started to leak, so I have a new one on order, including new brake shoes.

This is proving to be a stressful dea.l I just hope nothing else goes wrong before they collect the car on Monday. I also hope nothing goes wrong for a good time after that. Fingers crossed.
