Hi
Anyone planning on going to Kelsall next weekend?
I hope to be there, maybe all going well with the landrover too.
Cheers

I'll be there at some point (just down the road from me in Little Budworth) - depending on which day looks best weather wise |

If, Big If I get away early enough from Blackpool I'll try and drop in for a couple of hours.
Only adds 10 miles to the route |

Hi
Worth leaving a bit early if you can, it is a great show, especially if you like ERF's and Fodens!
Cheers

We went over to Kelsall on Sunday, dad with his VDP and us in Compo...
A familiar Land Rover was spotted lurking behind some large, sooty objects
and its owner was later seen in one of these large sooty objects, navigating in the display arena
Forum member Roger Hatchy popped in en route to the South in his DLM. Good to meet you RH
Forum regular Penman was also present - any other members make it to Kelsall this year?

Hi
Was great to meet Roger or was it Charlie! hehe
I saw the car very briefly on the way back from getting my chips yesterday, saw rick, but you weren't near your car I don't think. Very nice car too.
I have a few pics, courtesy of mum and sister, but they are mostly tractors and "sooty" objects, so you may not want to see them! hehe
It was nice to have the landrover there, we had a nice jolly on staurday night, in the back of it, to the local pubs. Well I wasn't in the back, I was driving, but everyone else was in the back. It was a bit hot to be going in an engine.
Anyway, great weekend all in all, and nice to see a few familliar faces!
Cheers

I made it down on the Saturday (sadly, forgot the camera). What's great about these local shows is the rare unexpected stuff that comes out of hiding.
Such machines at Kelsall included, just off the top of my head, an Invicta Black Prince, a V4 diesel engined Turner tractor, an early 70s Benelli Tornado 650 motorcycle (drool, drool!), a Land Rover Carawagon and a fantastic, wonderfully complete 1969 BBC outside broadcast lorry. |
