The trouble with these things is finding the right location and venue big enough for a few cars etc so...
I had the thought that if everybody gave me their rough location i could put pins in a map and find somewhere that would mean we all had the same travel mileage, theres nothing worse than having to go driving lots of miles after work in the week
They could be a weekday evening once a month or a weekend meet, weekend meets would be better out of show season as a lot of us would have commited to attending shows already
Is anybody interested ? |

the humber group and meet at the Half moon at Rushall as they come from norfolk & suffolk ,it has a good size car park and the food is good they have a large room at the back, there are a few clubs that meet there so if you do contact them it is better to check first, they meet every two months on a saturday for a meal or just a pint and a natter

Coming from Yarmouth I would be interested. There is already a good multi make club on the Norfolk Suffolk border that meets once a month and has a full range of events each year including its own rally at the Malting's Meadow Ditchingham near Bungay which takes place next week on the 18th of July, this is the Lowestoft classic vehicle club

we have the same problem with car shows meets etc as we have two GSDs and can not always get dog sitters so are selective as to where we go |

we don't "ban" dogs but the owners of the site the Maltings Meadow sports ground have told us not to allow dogs on the field due to the nature of what its used for I some times wonder if anybody ever stops to think how hard it is to find a suitable site with all the facilities etc, work is already in hand planning next years rally - this started over a month ago making it more than 13 months of planing and negotiations and you can be 10 months into the planing and someone will but up a condition or suddenly raise the charge of the site and with only a few months to go your back to square one, having served on the committee of the LCVC I have had 1st hand experience of this and believe me its a nightmare, so far there is over two hundred entries booked in so should be a good show, if any one dose come I'll be with my red and black Rover P3 so come up and say hello |

I don't doubt organising an event is hard work, not helped by H and S concerns, silly regulations etc.
But you have two events advertised dogs are banned from both,so attendance for those unable to leave their dogs behind is not possible.
They are banned from lots of places, dog owners are used to it. _________________ Thirty years selling imperial hand tools for old machinery(Now happily retired). |
