Very nice van, looks in suburb condition!
I noticed the glass lampshade in the wagonette, did you buy this new or was it already in the van?
In miss in my carlight a lampshade that size( i hope) and colour! can you give me more information perhaps?
thank you in advance

We have just had a look at the Carlight website with the old brochures, and there is only one van which appears to have glass shades, that is a 1940's Conqueror. All the others have glass shades, but they are the tulip shape.
We got our pink swirl patterned shades from someone who had found them at the Dorset Steam Fair a few years since. They are quite small, approximately 3" x 3".
When we got the Wagonette it had been standing in a friend's garden for ten or twelve years, waiting to be made into a trailer. The inside ply had delaminated, and the van used at rallies as a car spares stores, with dexion shelving and many spiders. Therefore, the whole of the inside had to be rebuilt, new framing, flooring, the lot, which is why the wood looks in such good condition. |
