Hi, we've got a '76 (maybe '75) Viking Fibreline and need some spare parts for it but not really sure where to go. Wondered if anybody could point us in the right direction?

We need brake shoes and a jockey wheel. The brake shoes that are currently on are virtually non exsitent and the jockey wheel isn't the correct size as its been bolted onto the side of the A frame cover not through the hole it's meant to go through. Brake shoes are the most urgent thing we need though so any help appreciated.

We're on Derby/Notts/Leics border so anywhere around there.

thanks Steve and Jayne

Are the shoes non-existent or just the linings? If linings, you can have them re-lined at some motor factors for about £40 per set of 4. If no-one in your area, Brakes International of Rochdale do them; they just did mine for the Royale on a similar chassis.
Do you know the manufacturer of the brakes/chassis? My Viking brochure doesn't quote this info. I suspect B&B chassis, Lockheed brakes. If Lockheed auto-reverse, they are like hens teeth to get hold of, which is why I had mine relined.

Hi they're down to the linings but one of them is worse than the other I'm told. Hubby says don't know what brakes but they're not auto-reverse. Need them doing before a rally at the end of the month do they take long to be relined?

We're trying to find out info on Viking Fibreline vans but are struggling to come up with anything.

Jayne

Must agree with uncle, bonding and reline, they'r pretty quick and will reline your old shoes.(saves pounds) Worth remembering as they also have relined the rear shoe's on my Zephyr Farnham, several of my artic's that I used to run, and also the Morris breakdown lorry, all with linings they carry in stock.
