I bought this handbrake on ebay described as for a Sunbeam Alpine, Not like any I've seen. in my defence it was a poor photo & I've since been to specsavers! Its new & on the (deteriorated0 LABELS IT SAYS - sheet pressings and spinnings, Albion works. and in bold type - CAMELINAT C....then the tape runs out.

E Camelinat & Co were metal workers at the Albion Works in Birmingham (I had a little google... well, it's a quiet afternoon an' all ) - don't know if that might make any sense with the context... they made "miscellaneous pressings, 70% of which were sold to the motor trade" though being the West Midlands this could of course mean any number of manufacturers!
They also made wardens helmets during WWII. |
