Beautiful!I had several mk1's in my day,loved 'em all.They went downhill with the mk2,and just kept sliding. |

I'm sure I've seen this car in the flesh, so to speak at quite a few shows up here in the North of England, & the NEC? (there can't be two like this) and I can understand why this car has so many trophies.
You must have spent lots,and lots,and lots of time loving that car to get it to such a stunningly high standard. Well done, you deserve all the trophies and praise you get with your car.

Well that brings back a few memories - my dad had one of those when I was a kid, exactly the same I reckon, is it Goodwood Green? And... does it say Consul on the bonnet as opposed to Cortina?  |

Only my 63 model had that.My 64 had Cortina on the badge,so I presume all later models(like this one)would be the same. |

Thanks for all your kind words
It is Alpina green and later cars all had Cortina on the bonnet
Going to NEC this year on mk1 cortina club stand
Going to Selkirk tomorrow looks like it will be wet |
