HI all!
This is my first post, so I think it's good to start off with a short (or long, haven't planned it yet..) introduction about myself. I found this forum after browsing the net for some info about a car (can't remember which), and decided to join.
My name is Niko, I'm 21 years old, and I live in Finland. I have been into classic old cars more or less my entire life, but what sparked the little spark that later would turn into a burning passion was when my older brother bought his firtst car, a 1975 Citroën Dyane. I was about 14 at the time, and after that I decided that I had to get me a classic old car! At first, I was "just" interested in classic Citroën models, of course, and I had almost settled for a Dyane myself, which means I had given a guy the thumbs up to start renovating one for me. Luckily, he hadn't started the renovation, because one day, when I was 17, while brosing a local newspaper, I saw a for sale ad that caught my eye. Can't remember the exact words in it, but the main content was "For sale: Red Saab 96, 1974."
For some strange reason, I felt that I had to call the person who had it for sale. I went to look at it, and fell for it right away! It was nowhere near a perfect condition, but it was running, it was MOT'd and what's most important, it was so cool!
A few days later I bought it, and started a little work on it. This was as I said when I was 17, so I had time to work on it because in Finland you get your driving license when you're 18.
A few months later, I bought a 1977 96 L Super. This was said to be a non-running parts/project car, but I got it running in a few hours. I haven't started renovating it yet, but I'll start as soon as I can.
Then about a year later I bought a 1973 Saab 96. This car is in almost perfect condition! The interior is almost as new, the engine and gearbox is running perfectly smooth. the only downside with this car is that the paintwork is quite faded from sunlight. I have waxed it, I have "paint restored" it over and over again, but It doesn't work that well. I have decided to repaint it soon. Then it will be perfect!
I think I'll have to write more later, otherwise I'll be late for school. For some strange reason my teachers don't like it when your late due to that I browsed car forums all morning..?
Before I log off I think I'll try to post a few pictures of my cars, If I get it to work.
Here are my two main cars. the Red is a 1974 and the green is a 1973.
Couldn't find any pics of the '77, I'll look for them later.
Cheers!

hi and thanks everybody!
I love classic saab's, but I'll have to say that I do like other cars very much too. At the moment I'm on the hunt for a 1965/1966 Ford F-100.
Can't wait to get to share some of my knowledge to you guys, and at the same time learn from you! One can never learn too much.
See you 'round!
