your caravans are utterly amazing. i am flabbergasted by the ones from the thirties, the clerestory windowed ones... they are beautiful. i'm impressed by their longevity, given the climate and their construction materials for the most part... i am motivated to build a caravan of my own, now... along the lines of one of the older Cheltenham style.
i love old Airstream units but they're frighteningly expensive to buy and far too complex to build without specialised tooling.

I have plans taken from Practical Woodworker of how to build a caravan. These were written in the 1930s I think. If you would like a copy pm me; I have them on file. |
