The Talbot had developed a knocking noise so I checked the easy one, the valve clearances, yep a couple of tight ones. Today I started her up and decided to take her to the Haverhill Carnival and just parked her up in the pedestrian presinct (coundn't get away with that in the Golf). I met a friend, Barry, who reminissed about his 14/45 (see below, he owns a gorgeous Hudson Terraplane) and later we drove to the "Rec" where we saw a great firework display. I was so happy to hear a bang without it being the Talbot.

Richard, make me an offer. Yes it is still up for grabs but spring will be a better time to sell it. My daughter gets married on the 20th so if the weather is good I will drive her there. _________________ 1936 Morris 8 Series 1
