According to the DVLA it's taxed!
Hopefully it will go to someone who will keep car + plate together. _________________ Richard Hughes |

Hi
I do like them, and nearly had a restored example whilst at college, but never bought it. Then a few months on, I believe there was one for sale at a certain local period garage rick may remember it, which I looked at too.
Can't have this one though, I am spending too much on something already!
Cheers

Hi Rick, I managed to buy this lovely old Standard. Its now in Scotland and the car will stay oily rag condition. The number will also never leave the car in my ownership. It now shares a barn with a 1936 Riley Kestrel 6 light and a light 15 Traction Avant. She seems very happy but doesnt like the big hills, porridge or driving rain. Thanks for your concern though, too many folk are ruining unrestored examples of pre-war cars, LEAVE THEM ALONE! its only taken 80 years to get this Patina!
All the Best. Rob |

Hi Rob, that's great news thanks for the update
It sounds like you've an interesting fleet! Any chance of some further introductions to them?

| Nice car! and great stable mates! I wish I could keep my Light 12 in "as found" condition but the the iron worm has well and truely taken hold! As for reg. nos. my original is running around some "modern" although I have ample evidence of the link with my Light 15...county records/chassis number etc. Oh well! |

Thanks for the thumbs up. I will try and post some photos of my cars and junk, My second love is old motorbikes, Ive been playing with them since I was in my early teens, Im 41 now and have accumulated one or two. I put a short video on to you tube called 'my classic bike shed', i did this for a friend who is also a classic nut who moved to Australia , it was away of us keeping up to date with each others collection. Please check it out if you get time. I will try and upload some photos of my Riley and Citroen.

Bad news on that Standard I'm afraid. Went to Wales to collect the car, loaded her up and suprisingly the current owner ( whos ebay name was p*key) or close, conveniently couldnt find the documents, history, old photos and service records that made this car so apealing. You would think that after a days trip all the way down from Scotland the vendor would make sure the documents were present. I took the car back home with a promise that the history file and documents would arrive, alas they did not. The car was also mis-discribed and turned out she needed a weeks welding. A real shame. The car is now on its way back to Wales. A lesson learned. Im sure the car will end up back on ebay again but buyer beware.
