It's well worth a visit - the cut-off for exhibits is 1966, the final year for the circuit in its original incarnation.

We went in the first year of the Revival, 1998, and each year until 2006, the date of our last visit. I think we'll return for the 2011 event, after this break.

In the Dodge....? Smile

Blimey, having just checked, these entry prices make the NEC seem really cheap Shocked

Aye it isn't the cheapest weekend, but well worth it nonetheless, nothing else I've been to comes close for entertainment. Stick around late on the Saturday evening, when most people have gone home, for the evening aerial display - usually a Spitfire and a P51 Cool

We go for the 3 days simply because it's quite a drive from here, so it makes sense to camp or stay at a local b&b.

If the Dodge is ready - which it should be - it'd be nice to turn up in it agreed, although the fuel bill would make the cost of entry tickets seem cheap I suspect Smile

Absolutely fantastic weekend. You'll need a second mortgage to pay for it, but worth every penny.

I'm tempted to bring Nobby (5187NO) along to this year's Revival, sounds good for one of its first outings Cool

We'll see how the finances are looking closer to the time...

Would love to go and I think its one of those must do things if your a classic car fan but you not kidding about the prices! Two questions for those that have been before, can it be done in a day? and can you get track side access with out buying a grand stand ticket. As my wife says this is a pack up trip where she makes up our food and drinks so we dont have to spend to much more though it means me lugging a cool bag round all day. hang on I just checked the FAQ on the goodwood web site and it tells you about track access on there.

1. Pre-purchased tickets only, for the FOS and the Revival, no tickets available on the gate.
2. You can walk around the entire track and sit pretty much wherever you want around its perimeter. No need for a grandstand ticket (I've never had one).

Best bet is to try just the one day maybe - Sunday probably - then see how you like it, and then decide whether or not to go for a full 3-day pass the following year.

It doesn't sound cheap, but compare it to the cost of 90 minutes sat watching a game of footie somewhere at a bigger team's ground, and it starts to make sense I think (not that I'd ever watch football mind). Compared to the cost of a GP ticket it makes a lot of sense too.

We take a picknick and drinks with us as they can be quite pricey.

Quick bump...this is on the 14th-16th September this year. I have booked my tickets for the whole weekend and intend to take the Atlantic. Anyone else fancy it? Very Happy

'tis tempting after a break of a few years, if we go for it I'll let you know.

Just down the road from me so missing it is unthinkable! I booked my tickets today and they have changed the rules for the classic car parking..it is now pre '74 cars Very Happy
I'm taking my Girlfriend on Friday (she likes the dancing and market) and plan to spend all day Saturday sitting far away from the busy areas watching the racing.
The one and only time I met Rick (forum founder) was at Goodwood...I was half expecting the Dodge to be there this year?
