Hello I've just joined the site.

I'm Matt, 21 from Wiltshire. Currently I own two classics, the first is a 1970 Triumph Spitfire Mk3 which a mate and I restored over the summer. The second is a 1968 Land Rover SIIA 109" which I bought just before christmas and is going to be the next project. Sadly the Spitfire will have to be sold to do this Sad .

My daily drive and 'modern' is a 1994 Land Rover Defender 90 which hopefully will be replaced by a '60's saloon later this year.

I am interested in any pre '70s British transport, mostly cars and Lorries.

Here are some pics of the classics

Cheers
Matt

Welcome along Matt, nice to see your Mk3 Spitty (I've had one or two, some years ago). Any "before" shots of the Triumph to hand??

Rick

This is what it looked like when I bought it at the beginning of March last year. The picture above was taken in September.

It came with everything other than a bonnet/entire front end which we managed to source elsewhere. Restoration had been started 10 years ago and most of the panels were replaced then, it was quite an easy resto really.

I will put some in progress pictures up at some point.

Welcome to the forum Matt. Looks like you did a very good job on the Spit.

Lovely spitty, wish I had that at 21, although I had clasics already in the form of a mini 1000 and a mini cooper!!
