Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself and my youngster.
Well I have what I hope is a modern/future classic. I own a 1993 Clio Williams number 0398 over the last year it has undergone a full re-spray and wheels refurbed. Although I do have a rare brand new boxed set for special occassions . I have also bought lots of new bits of trim and new stickers to spruce him up. Some still to go on.
Anyway I realise my little Willy is considerably younger than some of the awesome examples on here but I have an interest in all cars and really want to get into showing my car not for prizes. The websites specific to Clio's don't really cover shows etc.
Anyway here are couple of photos.
Guy in the last photo is Jean Raganotti, rally driver who used to drive the Williams. I let him graffiti my sun visor.
Anyway hope you don't mind my youngster joining the gang

Very tidy example of the Williams Clio. That's 'Sum Little Willy' you've got there!
Welcome to the forum, a friendly bunch on here and a mixture of modern and older classics. Mines only 31 years old, so quite young for on here too.
What area are you in, sure some people on here can let you know about shows in your area?

Hi Carol Ann
Welcome.
My youngest vehicle is only 21 yrs old so you're not that far adrift - and I'm a right old fart! As I always say - if you get half as much fun out of your car as I do from mine it will be the best thing you ever bought. |

Thanks for the welcomes.
Well I have had him 4 years now and will never part with him even though it is a love hate relationship (mainly love). I do have a bit of a Renault obssession I'm afraid and really want a Renault 12 Gordini amongst others
Hoping the recent respray will keep the dreaded rust away from the arches for a while. Just need to get the engine bay sorted now and a couple of weird original items still to source.
Anyway I live in Stockport so near you Uncle Alec
Also checking out the tips for showing etc I'm not interested in prizes just letting people see the car really.
I see you have the odd meet up so shall watch out for those.
Thanks again |

Welcome allong, I prefere renaults from the 1900's like the 6hp M, but like that you obviously have an interest in cars, thats the main thing. Be careful hanging around here though, you might find yourself aquiring more and more old cars.
I not a million miles from you, in Cheshire.
What type of shows do you want to be doing? There is a transport festival at Weston Park, Shropshire, every year, thats got to be coming up soon, have a look on google for Transtar promotions, they do several transport shows. If you look for transport shows/festivals, they rarely have age cut off dates, some of the steam rallies, vintage fairs and such like only allow pre.... cars in etc.
Tidy renault by the way!
Cheers

Hi again,
Yes definitely have an interest in cars have 3 new ones which include the Willy, always want more though and now looking at the older Renaults.
I love any cars really, can appreciate them all old or new, fast or slow, small or large etc etc etc
Well I have been to look round the show at Harewood House and that was brilliant, was thinking shows like that really.
I love the transport and steam shows, remind me of being a youngster we used to go to them alot.
I try to keep it tidy, with it being so young I can still get the bits from Renault which can be a bit expensive almost £200 for the 3 Williams decals |
