Strange world.
The van is indeed a Belgian Constructam. Maybe not very well known in the UK but not so rare on the continent. Constructam made caravans into the 80s at least. This is the classic shape from the 60s - 70s. A nice project for someone. I would think this would involve a change of floor at least Been battered a bit around the corners.
Strange world because I recognise the plate on it that says -Östgötacamping- This is a caravan firm in the county of Östergötland in Sweden where I live. The firm must have sold it second hand at some stage as they have never had the dealership for Constructam. The firm is still alive and well, half an hours drive from me How it ever made it´s way over to Cornwall is beyond me (Sweden -Cornwall is a bit of a trip ) |

I would think that the curved glass is perspex but not sure. The plane glass you would have to replace yourself. Getting replacements parts like glass (and indeed anything else would be difficult). It looks like a total renovation is needed but if you get it cheap and have the space then it could be a very nice van. You could always ask here:

Alan, rerference your comment "Cornwall to Sweden is a bit of a trip" - we'll be making the trip from Wales to Sweden for the European Classic caravan Rally in June. Will you be there?

Unfortunately not. We are supposed to be going to the north iland of NZ at the end of April-beginning of May. I´m going to work for 6 months and have a look around. Pity, would have been good to see you. I used to be the chairman of the -Campingveteranerna- but have kept a low profile the last 6-7 years as I have have been busy with other things. |

If it is in England in 2012 then would definately like to come. Peter Jolly (who has another nice Vogue) and I were thinking of trying to get both vans together for a meet of some kind. Where abouts is it going to take place and which club is holding it. |

Alan, not sure yet, it's only rumour, but I believe it will be in Kent. We'll find out for sure at ECCR in June. |

The south would be great as we are usually around the Bournemouth area.
Sweden is a great place to visit if you haven´t been before. Hardly any traffic and lots of -out doors- An old flame from Belgium once said after travelling up here from Brussels on the train... -a house, a forrest, a lake-...-a house, a forrest, a lake-.....
The Swedes are okay, bit quiet and reserved (till they´ve had a few jars). About half the club are into american cars (which isn´t really my -cup of tea-) Lots with more -normal- cars though, so you should have a good time |
