Must be a Rover/Humber thing, the Super Snipe/P5 was on my desired list but the P6b came along.
I got sick of travelling to look at cars described as the best looking thing ever, only to arrive to see a brush painted shed which started like an asthmatic camel and then clattered like a daschund brood bitch wearing thimbles for nipple tassles running down a cobbled street, that in the end I bought on condition, hence a P6B which was on the list, but a bit further down. |

Interesting to see that someone actually like the angular roofline. Most Rootes saloons did get the flattened / angular roofline and I always felt this looked worse than the original rounded roof.
Earlier Rootes versions also had bumpers that followed the body instead of straight bumpers and well designed overriders instead of simple affairs.
Looked for a big Humber in the mid 90s but found that steering is too vague. Bought a 110 Westminster instead. |
