Seems a shame they are Snap on, if they were of a different make I might have been interested! All a bit too shiny, Snail Brand are better...

Besides there seems to be no 1" drive sockets...

And no VONO bed spanner either! Sad

In my younger days you could buy Snap On for so much a week.Good commercial move,I think it made them very popular.Personally I always thought it a bit over rated.Lifetime gaurantee is OK,but you can still lose the beggar or have someone knick it.
I doubt very much if much of it now is made in USA,I expect like a lot of other makers much of it is now imported.

Like many Ebay ads it does not make sense. Why acquire £33 grands worth of tools and not use them?? OK they are shiney but you will run out of mantlepiece space. Lorry fallen back of from comes to mind!!

Every week the Snap On man called with his posh van when I was a full-time mechanic. My colleagues spent fortunes with him. I desisted because I had already had far more tools "gone missing" than I ever wore out.
Many other tool manufacturers seemed to happily change failed tools anyway. But they never seemed to advertise it.
Never liked Snap On spanners anyway, the shape of the shank hurt my hands, being more like a knife edge than rounded.
Jim.

Hi

Most good tool brands offer lifetime garentees now like you say.

I still go on the rule I was told many years ago by a wise friend, buy cheap tools and when you break them, replace them with a decent tool, then you only pay for stuff you actually need/use. Most of my tools are still the cheap ones and the cheap ones are near as good as the dear ones! haha

I love it all these friends of mine with trays and trays of snap on stuff that has never been used, what a waste! Nice to look at, but not much more in my oppinion! hehe

Prefere to buy another old car......

Cheers

Dave
