Towed out my Eccles last weekend on a 45 miles round trip, thought the towing was a trifle weird with the caravan diving off left or right occasionally. Put it down to the road surface having those lorry wheel indentations throwing me off my chosen line. Out again soon so best check tyre pressures, holy moses only 10psi in each tyre Shocked Thats two new tyres and tubes lost twenty psi in each. No wonder it towed strangely. Rolling Eyes

My tyres always look a bit soft, but they are running at 35psi....
I always check pressures before I leave to go anywhere with my foot-pump.

One of those moments when you realise truly how lucky you were after. I am so glad you weren't hurt.

i purchased a motorhome some 200 miles away and drove it back of an evening; about midnight, some 60 or so miles from home, the right inside rear tire blew out.......... push on? stop? i had no tools; the motorhome was running on the battery alone, not charging right, so if i shut it off, it would not restart........... so, push on i did! i managed to get it to the homestead around one in the morning.... checked the tire the next day, and a strip of it, about 3 inches wide, had left the sidewall... the tread was still there, but i fear it would NOT have stayed put much further.

BTW, she's probably larger than one of your AEC buses.... 33 feet long, eleven feet tall, eight feet wide.... 454 Chevrolet big block engine.
