I am in the process of repairing the structure of my caravan and as the damage is extensive, I need to strip most of the furniture out. I have managed to remove the bunk on the door side and have the fridge cabinet and overhead lockers unscrewed. Everything seems to be loose except for the top edges of everything which will not move. I am sure there are no screws I have missed unless they are under the cabinet veneer and I can't see any traces of glue either. Moving the bottom of the cabinet in and out just flexes the roof panels. Does anyone know how they can be removed please?
For the record, it looks like the damp has started in the block that the push handle screws into and then spread around the structure. Water dripping into the fibreglass front panel just pooled because Avondale didn't think to drill a couple of drain holes in it! Part of the floor is destroyed in that corner as a result. |

Unfortunately you will find that they are screwed from the outside in! They build a carvan by putting the floor on the chassis then putting all the furniture in and then putting the sides and roof on.
The only way around it is by pulling the outer skin away at the top or by using brute force to pull out the screws and replace later. |
