I thought you may all be interested in an unique vehicle which was created by a friend of mine some years ago.

It is based on a 1972 Range Rover with the front end of a 1960s Austin FX 4. The rear of a Land Rover Series 2/3 truck cab has been attached to the rear of the B posts and a "tray back" in the Australian style added to form a load bed area.
All the running gear is Range Rover but the powerplant is a 3.6 litre York diesel. The interior is from the FX4.
It may not be a "classic" commercial vehicle but I hope you all agree that it is different and possibly unique. When running it was a most capable off road vehicle and well mannered on road.
It is shortly due to be re-restored.

Looks very good, the Land Rover cab back end grafted on the FX4 looks like a factory solution. |
