Having owned a number of vintage saloons over the years I have yet to strike lucky to have a roof which doesn't leak. My Vauxhall 20/60 had its first dowsing with rain (in my ownership) last weekend, it fairly came down by the bucket load. Sure enough the roof didn't keep the rain out for long, even though I had recently applied three coats of a liquid silicone to the fabric. So last car I had I replaced the canvas roof myself, can't say I enjoyed doing the job as it still had minor leakage.
So how much am I likely to have to pay for removal of old and replacement of the roof covering.? |

Not quite what you are asking but I succesfully waterproofed a 1941 canvas tent last weekend with a product from Storm, got it off eBay. Not silicon based at all and in fact smelled like PVA. Worked a treat though. What about that then paint? _________________ 1937 Standard Flying Twelve
