We were there for the weekend for a first ever visit. The scale of it is amazing and so cosmopolitan. We did great business on our stall.
Very frustrating being a stall owner and not getting to see all the other bargains on offer though! Definitely be back there next September.

It never ceases to amaze me how much STUFF there is there.....
TONS & TONS & TONS.... some of it complete tat, some of it bargains
and an awful lot of it totally over priced (especially vintage tin signs and
pedal cars!!!)

Spent all day sunday there but I think we only saw about a third of it...
Bought a few bits n bobs, found a nice scruffy pair of wiper arms that
wont look out of place on my peugeot project Smile

Forgot to take any pics, but here are a couple I took when we went
there in the spring:

Bargains at Beaulieu? By the time you've driven there (not exactly central, is it?) and paid for entry, refreshments, accommodation (if required) I'd say the chance of any purchase being a bargain is greatly reduced. Then there's the 'Beaulieu Tax' that sellers invariably add on...

Whenever I go - which I haven't in recent years - it's to have a get together with friends from around Europe.

I've been going every year for the last 18 years. In terms of the stuff available it appears to get worse every year but the atmosphere is great. As time has gone on I find it less and less of a buying event and more of a social one.

Most people are very friendly and polite and bargaining banter is great fun. There appeared to be more foreigners there this year and they don't seem to understand the polite etiquette that most Brits adhere to. They don't move over to let others see items on a stall and generally behave as if they are they only people present. You would think they might learn as others treat them with politeness. Maybe they are just slow learners.
