| Aye she looks a "Bit" rough, but if you get for just over £200. It would make a very interesting resto job. And would keep you busy for quite a while. |

I reckon the seats are savable, and it would be fairly easy to make new doorcards using the old ones as templates and cover them in some suitable material. Body doesn't look too bad to me, but it will probably need new sills and a back panel at the very least. I believe parts for the Standard derived engine can be expensive, so I'd be most concerned about that.
I viewed one for sale at a number plate dealer earlier in the year. It had an MOT, but hadn't moved since he'd MOT'd it and removed the plate nearly a year before. When he finally got it going the engine was one of the smokiest I've ever seen. The seller tried to claim he'd fitted a replacement engine and the smoke was oil from the original burning off in the exhaust - yeah right! The clutch was useless as well, you had to rev it right up to get it to move just a few feet
Definitely worth a look though I'd say. |
