|
Hello all,
I am looking for the type, of bracket in this photo(top part, with holes for screws)
I found a mirror, but the bracket was missing
My car had this mirror, when new, but it was removed in the 80ies, when it was rebuilt.
Hope to hear from someone, as it is impossible to find one in Denmark
Thanks for looking.
Jens Christian

Hi all,
thanks for your reply,s and kind suggestions, to what I can do.
I have already asked a few people, who has this mirror (with correct bracket) if they would make me a drawing, with mesurements?
So far no luck so I am still searching
When I visited Beaulieu, earlier this year, had I taken the picture with me, on my mobile phone.
I asked a few traders, and they said, this bracket, was made by Lucas, as an "aftermarket" item.
This means it was never a standard item, in any standard production British car, hence why they are hard to find
I hope someone inhere can help ? or know someone ?

Hi all,
I might have found the correct "thing" but this raises the next question
Who can recommend a GOOD chrome plating company, that can restore it ?
Its a cast item, so its not very thick in the cast = fragile.
The guy said its corroded, but in one piece, so I would like to get it rechromed,
but I dont want to risk sending it off to some "cowboy" who charge me through the roof, or loose /ruin it
as its so small & fragile.
