Can anyone help with finding a trader who was at the Battlesbridge Autobillia recently.
I have a photo of the his vehicle, I know he is from Kent.
Contacted the battlesbridge organiser but no help forthcoming.

A friend that I was with would like to purchase the Hamblin Super Two he had for sale, a restoration project.

This is the Hamblin

And this is the traders van

We didn't manage to get back to the stand at the end of the day.

Any Kent member recognise him

Can't help with his name, but that Super Two looks like one of a pair that I've seen at Race Retro in the 'jumble area before now, probably on the same trailer.

Maybe try Rob Daniels (I think that's his name) of the 1950s Specials website, he may know, alternatively Malcolm Mckay may also have a lead on this car - I'd try Rob first and see what happens.

Hi Rick
Thanks for that, I'd forgotten about the 1950's specials site, been on there via tha FSOC
He asked for a write up about the DLM for the club mag, that was about two years ago.

I'll try them both

Forgot to post about the phone call

AJA are aware of the trader but no details of him, seen him around.

I was informed that he might appear at the South of England show ground on the 6th of next month.
Oh Well Looks like I'll miss him, no wheels at the moment.

Did find his name though, Mr Smyth with a Y, that's all Battlebridge have about him.

Just hope it doesn't get scrapped as only 14 super two's left and even fewer super threes. and I have the feeling it is a super three.

It looks as if it's the same seller as these two i saw at Beaulieu last year, The marking on the trailer wheel guard is the same, I haven't got a number though sadly but he must be known.

Hi Trigger

Thanks, I think he has a few others as well.
And the Ford Bowden chassis is another lead.
I believe they were/are Kent based.

As you say, someone knows him.
It dose seem that he is well known off, but as to whom, and from whereabouts

Like the play from Baroness Emmuska Orczy.
We seek him everywhere.
