Goodmorning all.
As you may know at this moment im restorating a carligth continental 1963. A carligth van was often sold with a wedgewood crockery and cristal glasses.
When i bought this caravan the crockery was not any more in the carlight
But reading the paper "Loose equipment supplied with Continental" i knew that a 21 piece carlight tea service, a teapot and 6 dinner plates where supplied with the caravan.
So looking on the internet i knew how difficult it would be to find a simular set wich would fit in. Some people would collect for years to complete there missing crockery and the prices where very high.
To my surprise i have managed to find the crockery wich belonged to my carlight continental in 1963, As you can imagined i was very happy to lay my hands in this set, The only thing what is missing is the teapot! Anybody a idea where to find this?

I hope you managed to win the tea pot. Crockery is well worth waiting for - I've almost finished finding my second Freeman caravan tea set. The tea pot (courtesy of eBay) was delivered this morning and I am now just a cup and a saucer short of two complete tea sets. The first set I bought also has bowls and dinner plates. It means that each of my Freemans will have its own set - not that I dare use it!! It was made by Tuscan china.

hello replyers on this topic!
Yes the teapot has been send to me, and im very happy with it.
I did had contact with carligth factory if they had a lid because thats missing! But they had no old stock
So i hope to find a lid on ebay, that would be nice.
Nice set you got there, my teapot is white and the rest has a pink tint to the glazing( so i guess that the pink items are older, because i know they are made befor 1963)

| If you cannot get hold of a lid do you have any local potters who could make you one? |

The question on old caravan china and even more the search for it is quite difficult as it rarely comes up these days as most pieces have been cracked, broken or damaged along the way.
I've got the older Carlight tea pot, the one with the pink tinge to it.
The best sets I have are from Freeman Caravans and Car Cruiser although the Car Cruiser set is not complete but very striking due to the vivid colours
Even harder to come by are the pieces I have of Cheltenham Caravans and Winchester Caravans
I still have the original set which come with my Royale and although it doesn't have a picture of a caravan on it, it does have a lovely 1970's sunflower!
I've got two sets of Fairholme Caravans china, various bits and pieces which I've not had out of the box in years both identical apart from one set is in grey and the other in yellow if anyone is interested in them or making up a complete set

hi uncle alex
yes same design as my cheltenham plates
I forgot to mention I also have three ultra rare Sprite plates from the 60's....I've only ever seen one other one in my life - anyone else seen them?
They were supplied only to the North American market and when I saw them on this side of the pond I simply had to have them!
Am I also right in thinking Bluebird also supplied plates on some vans too?
Anyone collecting the new Carlight china?
