Hi Stuart,

Just reading the entry requirements for normal exhibits, it refers to current insurance being required, and fire extinguishers fitted to every car. Does this apply to the barn find exhibit too??

A barn find would need trailering too, so that might put a few people off.

Surely this would mean cars failing to be "as original".

Suspect this is a venue requirement, but I wonder if NEC has this for the big, classic car show.

Hello,
For the barn find and part restored cars they would not require fire extinguisher or insurance as we would expect them to arrive on a trailer and the venue will have plenty of mobile fire equipment which will be sited close by.

The only point I would make is, if I owned a car partly restored or even a barn find, I'm sure I would have some sort of insurance for storage, theft or accidental damage?

Anyway if anyone feels they can help and would like to be part of what is building into quite a major event, then give me a ring.

We can hopefully work out all the little problems and details of just how we can do it.

I personally always love looking at 'barn find' cars and think they really add a bit of character to a show, they seem to get more attention than the concours cars sometimes!!! thanks for your interest in my post.
