Hi
Heard about this via my professional connections and thought it would be of interest to the rest of us in UK

Is it usual for the DVLA to hold people's email addresses these days I wonder? Don't think they can have mine, mind you I've never filled in any of the "optional" boxes on principle.
Still, I can see some people getting taken in by this - wonder how the scammers are making money on it, simple ID fraud or something more complex..? |

| It is worth remembering that e-mail is not a recognised form of communication. Meaning that any e-mail that demands a response/reply to avoid further action is always a hoax and is easily dealt with via the delete key. |

Something not quite right about that link. content.govdelivery.com is an American governmental site so why would the British DVLA be using it? _________________ ROVER

It has the grammar of a child and the spelling of an American.

Hi
DVLA first posted it up on their FB page on 15th june.
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Nl1/Newsroom/DG_194193
That page is one that DSA links direct to.
DSA have an email alerts sytem which they use to connect directly to subscribers in many parts of the driver training and other transport industries.
It is not unheard of for DSA to use organisation outwith the UK for services. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.
