I could do with some help from one of you classic caravan experts out there!

I had a 1950's Coventry Knight caravan (awaiting restoration) removed illegally by the neighbouring landowner. My first choice would be to get the original van back, but if he has broken it up I will be trying to get him to replace with a similar van or, as a bottom line, provide compensation.
Are these vans quite rare? Does anybody know how much these vans are worth? and does anyone have one for sale?

Any help or background appreciated.

how are you going to stop your "neighbor" from repeating the offence?

i gather that breaking the law in the FIRST place was of no consequence to him.

Did you tell the law at the time your van had been stolen by a neighbour?

Thanks for that. I don't know the exact model. The bodywork was good, the neighbour moved it without it falling apart1 it had been locked up for a number of years, but no major damp issues last time I went in.

I'm now pursuing it, hopefully with legal assistance, but solicitors are expensive. The neighbour however is extremely wealthy!

Yes I have now made a crime report, but I'm not sure how far the Police will take it, may end up being treated as a civil matter and that costs £££!

If the van was on your land and you do not know where it is now but knew who took it is that not theft?

ah. we all know that the wealthy do not commit crimes. you "must" be mistaken. perhaps you mislaid the item in question?

(sorry; that's the kind of response we get here, as well, from the PC)
