One was near the arena, the other a by the end of the trade stands, I guess they were kept a bit apart so you could hear one without overhearing the other. |

There was a lot of information on the printed sheets on the side of the vehicle, I must admit I spent so much time looking at the knobs and buttons inside that I didn't really read them. I got the impression that the bodywork has only been completed very recently, but I may be wrong. Search on BBC North 3 for more info.

I sent the link of the BBC outside broadcast lorry to a friend who used to work in the industry and she has just replied saying she knows the vehicle well having worked on it
It is CMCR3 (Colour Mobile Control Room 3 - the BBC love their abbreviations). Her e mail clearly shows I stirred fond memories.
So thanks for posting your pics from the show. |

No problem, glad someone liked them.
According to the sheet, though, it's CMCR9, not 3. The sheet you can see partly-obscured in the bottom left of the bottom photo has more information. |
