I am sure I remember a thread about 'other' hobbies.

The face and movement from a vandalised wall clock has come into my posession and I hoped that I might find a good home for it where it may eventually get restored.

About 100 years old I think. No money involved, except maybe some postage.

It might seem a long shot but why not make enquiries to the Antiques Roadshow. There is always an expert on clocks and watches. They might be able to put you on to someone. Its worth a try.

Father has a Fair collection of Clocks, they are in every room of the house, and in most wardrobes too! lol

He however is trying to downsize the collection, even though it is not the time to be selling brown furniture... it is the time to buy!

Might be worth trying fleabay, I recently sold some broken alarm clocks on there - quite honestly, wrote the description as "3 broken alarm clocks..." and set the condition as for parts/not working. OK, I only got £2 for them (plus the postage) but that was OK for the time listing them took, considering I would have binned them otherwise

My wife is a jeweler and works for a firm that used to be a small watchmaker (the current owners grandfather) she knows of a few firms that will restore clocks, but made the point that in 99 out of 100 cases it costs more to repair than the clock is worth, ok if its the family owned grandfather clock with sentimental value or some rare thing, but no good if you want to make a profit.
