This is my local car show, organised by a mate and held at the pub just around the corner. It was originally to have been on July 9th but torrential in the week before that date caused the field to insist on postponement. Nice dry day again, warm when the sun came out. Attendance was little down because of the change in date I suspect.
One of two miniature steam engines at the show:

Wouldn't mind the mag if it's going, Rick - no rush though. Not sure what else is in it but always worth a read.
Yes, I thought about going to Loton on Saturday afternoon, but I figured it would be around 2.30 by the time I got there and they'd probably still want full admission price, so not really worth it for a couple of hours. |

I thought I saw a familiar name on a Penny Farthing as I went home for some food. |

Only other one I know of is there's a get-together at Cholmondeley for the car clubs that were booked in for the Pageant of Power, because the club displays were worst affected by the ground conditions and ended up effectively abandoned. They've put on a morning gathering for people to just get together, do the "best club car" and "best club stand" prizes that were scheduled, and do a couple of laps of the track. It's nice of them to put it on so I've re-taxed the car and will send in for refund after it.
Also the re-scheduled Uttoxeter show is in November sometime. |
