OK, so completely off topic as far as motoring goes.

As we all know, size matters and in digital photography big is not always beautiful.

I do a lot of digital photo stuff, and scan literally thousands of photos that are then stored in digital form. The scanning is at very high resolution and useless for attaching to e-mails, websites etc.

There is a small and free download called "Pixresizer"

Google will find it. It is very simple to use. Multiple hi-res photos in one folder can be selected and then "resized" and copied to another folder.
The original high res versions remain untouched.

I have used this now for several years on various computers without any problems.

Downloaded it and it works fine.
However, it does not say how big the resized new file will be. You have to look that up in the folder after the conversion has been done. If it would calculate the resulting size then it would be a fine tool.
As it is now it seems to have no advantage over for example irfanview.

Irfanview, free to download, is a great allround picture tool. It can also resize like pixresizer but much more, like adding text in the pic or adding arrows, circles or ovals to highlight things in the picture.

With pix resizer you can specify the size you want the file / image, enlarged or shrunk.

Also been using it for a few years, just resized a folder load 800+ in about 5 minutes.

Not used it yet but you can also change the file type.

If the image is saved in the scource folder it tells you the size after the repeated image name.

That Infaview sounds handy if you want to add to the image,
think I'll give it a try, be handy to watermark images.
