|
|
OK not anything to do with transport.
A friend has had a house fire last weekend, about 0300 Sunday morning.
Lucky his wife is an insomniac so everybody got out OK.
The lounge was well ablaze and lots of smoke at the top of the stairs, even with all doors closed.
Fire brigade called and fire was soon bought under control before the fire broke out of the living room.
Anyway the cause was a bit baffling till my friend noticed the e-cigarette, or just the tube of what had been the e-cigarette.
It had been on charge and exploded, being a metal tube it had gone off like a rocket and the fire started the other side of the room.
The fire brigade said it was the first they had heard of this,
this surprises me as I, and my friend, have since found reports of this on you-tube and google.
Anyway
thought I'd post this warning.
If anyone is using and e-cigarette just keep this in mind, don't leave them unattended when on charge.
PS this can be charged via USB so is a low voltage charge, not one you would expect this type of problem. |
