Just a quick hello for now.
I'm Joe, an Englishman resident in sunny SW Scotland. The 'fleet' currently includes amongst some more modern stuff; 1949 Humber Pullman Mk2. 1950 Humber Imperial Mk2, 1965 Humber Imperial Ser.V, 1965 Lotus Cortina Mk1, 1978 MGB V8 roadster & a 1980 Triumph TR7 V8 convertible.
Here's a few pictures -

Hi
Welcome from me too!
Do you restore your own cars or farm it out?
Cheers
Dave
P.S... Very nice cars by the way! |

Thanks for the welcome - sorry I put the posting in the wrong place, oops!
I have been an incurable tinkerer from the days when it was a matter of necessity to repair my own cars - I couldn't afford to pay anyone. So yes I do pretty much all my own repairs and restoration work (learned like so many others by self teaching, mistakes and experience!), except anything needing very specialised equipment.
The '50 Imperial had a suspension, steering and brakes overhaul last year, the TR7-V8 is currently undergoing a light refurb for the summer, the MG is undergoing a complete engine overhaul and the Pullman will be after that with a head overhaul. Busy, but it keeps us off street corners doesn't it?

Nice collection - and welcome!
Have I seen the Humbers in Glasgow being wedding cars, they look really familiar? |

Thanks to everyone for a warm welcome - just goes to underline how friendly classic car folk are.
Scotty, I know there is one Imperial (circa 1950 vintage) like mine in Glasgow which does belong to a wedding hire company; I know 'cos I recently had an approach to see if I would sell my two old Humbers to them.
