How many of you will be attending the show? I shall as I live almost within sight of the NEC and helped to build the place so there's a certain moral obligation.
Whilst I shall marvel at the wonderfully preserved/restored shiney things most of my time will be spent rummaging in the Autojumble, seeking out old rusty things. Ideally but not necessarily relating to Series 1 Morris 8.
I'm looking forward to it. I enjoy a good rummage in suitable company.

There as per usual, Riley RM Club stand. Met a good few forum members over the years at the NEC - pop over and say hello.
Emmerson, you gonna take all my money again? |

Alec, I'll certainly pop over and say hello. You'll identify me easily enough, I'll be the old bald bloke. Covered in rust.........

I would love to go to the NEC but its a bit of a drive for me. The General Lee marina coupe was on show there in 2003. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Don't drive, fly. In an aeroplane, ideally. BHX is right next door.

I hope to be there, it's where I drop the strongest hints about birthday (later in November) and Christmas presents!
I'll probably be on the Riley Motor Club stand on Friday and/or Saturday (round the corner from Uncle Alec) though family matters may have to take precedence this year - in which case, I hope you all have an enjoyable time. |

I'll be there on Saturday, but my son Shaun will be helping to man the Matra stand on Friday. Pop in and say hello, cos he might be lonely!
Uncle Alec, treasurer Powell will be with us on Saturday, so don't worry, we'll take your money! |

I'm going on the Saturday and the Sunday this year. Will probably be hanging round the Opel Manta OC stand on the Saturday, meeting up with a mate and sampling the Ferrari stand on the Sunday (he's an owner member).
Plus a general good mooch about and try to get to the autojumble. Is an annual pilgrimage for me now.

Very expensive. £21-50 Sat or Sun, £16-50 with Club discount.
Car parking from memory is £6 or £8.
Consider a cheap day return by rail - B'ham International station is actually inside the NEC.
I only go because I get free passes.
All it costs me is 3 nights in a hotel, 3 evening meals, the cost of clinging on to our Display Manager's drinking habit, fuel Manchester - NEC & back, whatever I spend at the autojumble, and the Royale Owners Club annual subs as the Treasurer always mugs me. |

Bad news Alec, parking at the NEC is now £10 (and now the same for disabled). You could always leave your car in the 'Express Parking' for £20 a day - closer to the halls and pre-bookable. |

I paid £34 for 2 days entry online in advance. Didn't know it had gone up to £10 to park now though, was £8 last year I thought. It does add up, but I take a packed lunch so I'm not paying food prices on top, and I think the shows worth every penny. _________________ Born to rally, forced to work!
