The only car I ever had that turned heads was a Consul Capri , would stop at lights and cars would pull up alongside, and then back up a bit, and have a good look.

The Morris usually gets a bit of attention, especially when it's parked up, so I suppose it qualifies as a head-turner, albeit a very slow one.

Your Morris or mine Laughing Laughing Laughing When mine is parked up I usually get reminded they were rust buckets or the suspension collapses....who cares. But its good when you are out driving and other drivers do the head turns. Cool

My Riley 1.5 does seem to turn heads perhaps because it's old, it's a vivid pale blue and it has a distinctive exhaust note.
I've had 'Nice car' comments many times - from the local scallys, a coloured gentleman in a BMW with blacked-out windows ("Cool car man!"), at petrol pumps ("Can I take a photo of your car, my son's name is Riley?"), when held up in traffic ("Great car, what year is it?").

People stop and comment on my car when it's out..normally "you don't see many of those" and "what a horrid colour".
I policeman shouted something at me a while back while I was driving in town..I didn't hear what he said so stopped in my tracks..he came running up to the car and I got worried..he lowered his head..all out of breath and said.."my Dad had one of these" Laughing

All the time

I also get asked "What is it" so you tell them "it's a DLM, a typical ONE OFF 1950's special"
Sometime the answer back is "Oh yes I remember them"

On dual carriageways they pass slow down and expect you to underpass them so as to look again to take pictures, or wave.

The Atlantic gets the most attention, it turns loads of heads and whenever it's parked people come and ask what it is/look through the windows/take photos.

The A35's get a lot of attention as well, especially 'NO'.

Being a sarcastic sod, my favourite is:
"What year is it mate?"

(look at wristwatch) "er, 2012".

The old Austin 10/4 used to get a lot of attention when the memsahib took it shopping; back in the 80s and 90s. It was interesting to see the passing of the "I had one of those" brigade, to be replaced by "My dad had one of those."
The only thing she became indignant about was the "Have you had it since new?" enquirers, as she wasn't born until 12 years after it was manufactured.
The special (In avatar) always gets attention, and I'm often told "Haven't seen one of them for years." Which is satisfying because it's the only one and I built it myself in 1998.

I get lots of pleasant ones such as "Cool car," "Did Elvis have one like that?" Lots off silly questions from would be not very original comedians. "How many gallons to the mile" is the most common, closely followed by. "How many bodies can you get in the boot?", Standard reply is "yours and several others". Silliest is "Why did they only put two doors on such a big car?

I get a lot of comments about the Rover P5b and the transit but the fairway taxi seems to attract the most attention, strange for a vehicle which was very common and is even still in use in some towns.
The most enjoyable encounter was with an old chap in a wheelchair who told me with a tear in his eye that the Rover was his favourite car and he had one brand new in 1970.
I'm pleased when people especially youngsters appreciate these relics from a time when this country could actually make cars rather than simply import them.

When I had the truck at Race Retro last year, I was amazed when this elderly gent wandered over, and told me of how he'd hitched a lift in it, back in the 1950s!
