On a holiday on Samos in 2001 I was able to hire the "best" car on the island. After travelling a couple of miles it became obvious that the exhaust studs were stripped, an experience that I had endured on a Fiat 500 I once owned.
I loved this little 126 and didn't want it swapped for a more modern car so we soldiered on with tissue in our ears. As compensation I unscrewed the speedo (naughty boy) to avoid paying extra mileage.
Does anyone have any photos or knowledge of such cars in this country? LOOK AT MY STUPID FACE...I AM LOVING THAT CAR!

bought one of these for my daughter to learn in--she loved it but had to correct the exhaust stud stripping scenario by recutting and using locktite solution, together with heavy duty springs between the nut and exhaust manifold as there is so much vibration . did the job ok,but had to make sure it had a daily tighten !! cheers--ray the rocker..... |
