| Will be there Friday, treating myself (and charity of course!) to my annual Sporting Bears ride. Previous years have seen me in a 1932 Austin 7, 1929 Bentley Speed Six, Bristol 410, Morgan Plus 4 .... |

If like me you are only going or a day, its worth looking at the Shows Floorplans in advance as there are so many halls its easy to miss stuff.

Just to confuse us, they're using some different halls from last year. |

I've booked for Sunday as usual. Strangely the ticket price doesn't bother me ('specially with the club discount) but the tenner for parking feels like a rip-off.
Still, it's only once a year so I treat it as a pilgrimage to gather some inspiration for winter projects! |

| I'm going tomorrow and haven't decided if I'll drive all the way and pay £10 or use the train from Berkeswell where it's free to park and costs about £2.50 for a rtn ticket. Swings and roundabouts I suppose. |

Just got back from a very long day at the NEC. It's absolutely huge, even more so than past years as apparently they have taken over a few more halls that previously have been occupied by Top Gear Live (now on a different weekend)
A few tips;
1. Wear your most comfotable walking shoes
2. Get there early. I got there an hour before the doors opened, drove straight in and went for a nice leisurely breakfast at Wetherspoons. By the time I went out on a Sporting Bears 'Dream Ride' (Morgan 3 wheeler) at 11 o'clock all the incoming roads to the NEC were chocca.
3. GO!!!
Well worth it, if only to mentally add a few more cars to my Lottery Win list (a gorgeous Allard P2 Safari for £75k?) |

Mind and take some marina photos if there is a stand there. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

| Didn't see too many Marinas although I'm sure there were some. Big Ford presence, an entire hall I think. Also a big BMC fwd presence, minis, land crabs, Alegros, 1100s etc. Lots to see. |

That'll have been the RM Club, they're always a bit quirky - Uncle Alec was probably one of them. I haven't been able to go as O/H is unwell. |

Great facebook pictures Keef. The 213 Rover and the Anglia van are my favourites but they are all stunning. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Just for you Larry.
When the guys on the stand asked me why I was interested in the Marinas I said that I was taking the pictures for a man in Scotland and they said 'oh that will be Larry'. _________________ Keep Torqueing,
