Just thought I'd post a few pics of my project... a 1975 reliant trike conversion. I'm working outside on the fab and mechanics but now the weathers gone south (so to speak) so at the moment I'm doing 'indoor' stuff, i.e. paint and upholstery.
I started by ripping off the fibreglass shell, the seats, and the petrol tank. Then I took down all the rust and Hammerited everything to protect it while I'm working on other stuff. Mostly done fabrication since then, panels, tank bracket and backbone, seat pans etc. Also repaired cracks and other damage to the rocker and air boxes, and drilled and painted the tank.
This is pretty much how it started year one (last year):
I'll post some pics of the stuff I've done so far later. |

Cheers. They were in a bad state when I got them. Had to grind welds, get rid of the rust, bog them, then Hammerite them so I could leave them outside. They need extending yet, so all the paints gonna have to come off again.

Welcome Tex. An interesting project, I used similar Reliant running gear in my Austin 7 Special. Nice engines to work on. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. I have written a book though. https://amzn.eu/d/7rwRRqL |

Thanks. I'm airbrushing the tank and a bracket at the moment and just laid down some clear coats today ready for candies at the weekend:
