I have never sold a car with faults...honest... I couldnt sleep at night if I did. I would be scared to answer the phone in case the new owner was bringing it back for a refund. I know there is no comeback on a private sale but I would still feel guilty. Mind you its not the first car I have bought that turned out to have had unseen faults. I bought my estate off ebay and it looked a nice car and it drove home ok. But when I got in about it , it was hanging. Now fixed but I would never bid on one again unless I went to see it first. Its different if the seller lists what is wrong with it then you know. But I would never sell on ebay and not mention the faults.

I always try to be as honest as possible when selling a car - and I'm always pleased when the new owner drives it home and gives good feedback.

When I sold my MGB GT earlier in the year I received this

"was as described if not better. absoloutly over the moon"

so maybe I err on the side of caution Smile
