That's a very attractive car. Do you know the name of the shade of green. Far better than some of these really gaudy ones you see.

The Morris cars of that era didn't have paint codes, but a paint supplier will be able to mix some up to match, your car

A very close "off the shelf colour " is Fiat Country Green, Berger 4312, ICI 6860, PJP 170z2530

Nice Tourer. I think the paint scheme is excellent and I love the green leather seats. Mine are a light tan but if I ever re-do the original seats I think now I will go with green. Here is a pic of mine, paint never been touched from when it was built in 1946...

I've just bought a towbar from a '38 tourer, hope it fits as I want to tow a small trailer to Canberra (680k's from here) in March for the "100 Years of Morris" Rally in 2013.

Hi Ian
The pre war series E's were availble in Green, Red or Blue all had Black wings and the interior colour matched the exterior.
In the UK the post war cars were all black with the tan interior. I know Morris did supply cars in kit form (In primer ?) to your part of the world, it looks as if they maintained the pre war colours? . I do agree with you that these paint schemes were nicer.
