The DVLA have just confirmed to me that, pre 1960 imported cars wont require an MOT when first registered. Just need insurance and import / custom document.

That makes life much easier, I had to drive mine to the MOT station with no registration plates on it when I brought it into the country, then off to Glasgow and park it in the city centre with no plates, certainly caused a bit of a stir _________________ ROVER
