I accidentally switched on BBC4 this evening and watched two hours of fantastic TV. First a programme (number two of three I think) about the beginnings of steam railway preservation societies, then a history of the era of classic British Sports cars; Healeys, TR's E-Type fantastic. Bound to be available on I-Player.

There was a BBC series in 1986 called "Steam Days" and presented by Miles Kington which was particularly good. I hope that BBC4 will show it again soon.
