It was ok for me. The estate never missed beat all year. I had to get some welding done for MOT. Then it was on the telly albeit briefly and later on I got new rear arches welded on and painted. All in all it was a good year and I am ready for the first show in May. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

WET
Apart from that no problems.
Oh nearly forgot had to have AA relay from off M6 services near Manchester, only took 14 hours to get home. about 200 miles.
Blown Head-gasket, would have taken about an hour to fix, had all the tools but forgot to pack the gasket. |

Health problems have made it a very bad year for all of my pursuits. Very little fishing and I only used the Sprite a few times. I now have all three cars fettled and ready to go—but it won’t stop raining.
On the plus side: my eyesight is better now than it was in my teens and I have a new bionic buddy. He resides just below my left shoulder and occasionally gives a jolt to the old ticker when it isn’t keeping up with the rest of me.
I have not made any plans for 2013 as the world is scheduled to end in about an hour’s time. After that I’ll just play it by ear.
Happy Apocalypse everyone. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. I have written a book though. https://amzn.eu/d/7rwRRqL |

2012 started with a bill for £960 for brake repairs to the Range Rover, and looks as though it will end with a bill for autobox repairs, so, no not really a good year.
But the bits in the middle were fantastic, so perhaps its been 50/50. |

not bad at all.....my fiat cinquecento has never missed a beat (goes to touch wood ) its been a great little car so far.
I had a few running problems with the Alvis but apart from the price of the new fuel pump they were cheap, quick fixes.
the wife got rid of her rover 214 for a vauxhall astra and the astra has been perfect and she loves it.
so not a bad year at all _________________ "people with money buy a Rolls Royce, people with taste buy an Alvis". |

Well I got my first car (59 A35) back on the road after a three year slumber in the garage, got the Atlantic back on the road, completed most of the welding on the A55 MK1 and took Nobby my black A35 to the club National rally in Staffordshire and took a trophy for Most Original Car So it has been quite a successful year, car-wise. _________________ Richard Hughes |
