The only one I ever had was a Vauxhall Corsa that sounded like a bag of nails. Never had another one since though many manufacturers like Audi..Volkswagen and Nissan to name a few are making them. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Drove a Toyota Aygo once ~ never again ~ these 3 cylinder
cars always sound to me like they are misfiring......
I wonder how I will get on with my 2 cylinder Honda when it's
on the road? Here is a vid of the same engine tuned and on a
rolling road (make sure your speakers are on)

Hired a 3 cyl Peugeot something on holiday last year. Awful thing!
Took it back and complained that I thought someone had bashed the underneath on something, so bad was the constant vibration. Got a free upgrade to a Renault Twingo which is one of the nicest small cars I've ever driven. |

| Larry, three out of four ain't bad. You want to try a "2-cylinder Fiat 500 when one of the plugs is misfiring...it just won't move. |

My sister-in-law has a Suzuki Swift and I had to move it to get my car out. I told her to bring bit to my place next day as I thought it was running on 3 cylinders. When I opened the bonnet felt such a fool it only had 3 I had only ever driven the GT version before and of course it has 4 cylinders and really moves.

The early Saab..Wartburg and I think the DKW were 3 cylinders. Some agricultural diesels were also 3 cylinder. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

| I think some Transits ran Perkins P3's, at least the local egg farm did when I was a kid. |

Hi
An odd number of cylinders sem to run more smoothly in radial form. there are some nice small 3cyl radials.

Now, who do we know who has a small air cooled vehicle which might just suit one of these behind the rear axle if the gear box can be mated up to it? _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.
