Finished the seat for my 850 Reliant Trike today. Used some of that new Evo-Stik solvent-free adhesive, and I'm not impressed. 30 minutes drying time and adhesion wasn't very good. Probably secure it with rivets before I bolt the seat on.

I have had problems with Evo stik recently. When my large tin ran out a couple of years back, I had had it for some time in the garage.

I bought another tin and was surprised when I went to use it a few months later that it had solidified in the tin to a hard jelly?

I replaced it and lo and behold, it has also solidified.

Kels.

Yeah, that does happen to the usual stuff if it's left 'coc the solvent leaks out once the tin is open, but this is a new solvent free stuff. Makes all the same promises, but it doesn't touch the original for performance. The new adhesive looks like that white PVA glue they give kids in school. Back to the original for me, and the free headache with every tin. Wink

Hi Tex,

Seat looks good, you should be pleased with the result.
Is the rest of the trike ready to roll yet?

Naw, I've still got a complete wiring loom to make before I can even test the engine. I.m working outside too, so weather's a factor, so too is money being on a tight budget. I'm enjoying it so much though, I'll miss it when it's finished.
Got a few indoor jobs to do though. Just finishing airbrushing the tank, and I've just got the front fender back from shot blasting, so that needs bogging and painting too.
