As it was a bit wild weatherwise I gave my tools a good clean and changed my toolboard about a bit. Then I stripped down the hoover as it wasnt picking up too good. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Not much Larry, maybe 75 hours welding and fabrication since the New Year!

Just been changing the sump on my sons Fiat Punto. He must have clouted it in the snow and ice and it had developed a pinhole leak! Did look at putting a screw in the hole but the whole thing looked so rotten, it had to go!
Should be back to the Morris 8 once thats out of the way and now that the weather has warmed up a bit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Moved the welder and all the metalworking gear down into the garage where the A55 is stored, ready to start work on it again. That was yesterday. Today I've gone down with the flu so don't know when I'll be able to start the welding again, or indeed if I'll be able to make Southminster School on Friday. Will have to see how I'm feeling. _________________ Richard Hughes |

Tidied the mess I had left in the garage after I had finished building the toy garage for my daughter!!
Still need to tidy the bench though!!
I also stuck on the wall a picture I found of my great grandad and my grandad (paternal side) with a Thames truck they had in the 40's or 50's, have not dated the photo yet!!
I must remember to scan it and send it to Rick actually!! |

The mga has been my focus in the garage these last few weekends. My workshop is in desperate need of a spring clean, if you have ever done a lot of bodywork and painting, you will be aware of the semi rigid dust that everything gets coated in

Did a bit of of tidying and sorting out tools, but it's still a mess.
Off the subject a bit. It's just struck me looking at the locations of frequent posters. I have only been to Scotland once, but I have visited Malta several times. Strange |

Not really...isn't Malta that hot, dry and sunny place? |

As my garage has corrugated metal sheets for a roof I was out today giving the screws a bit of a hammer in but they were all ok. High winds outside now and its to get worse. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

I haven't been to Malta for a few years, but particularly if you have an interest in history it's a great place to visit. Lots to see and friendly people. It's a great pity from the tourists point of view they have got rid of the old buses. |
