I'm looking for a cooker for my very early 60s caravan - I'm after one of the all in one units with two rings, grill and oven. Something like a calor B600, Senior Star, or similar. I'm based in North Notts, but happy to travel a reasonable distance and happy to pay a fair price. If anyones got anything that might be suitable please get in touch: 07974 600008, cheers, Andy

Try looking on Ebay, there are usually one or two on there . _________________ I can resist anything except temptation ! ( Oscar Wilde)

Plenty of B600 cookers have been on eBay as of late, I know this because I'm in a similar spot as you, however what seems to have happened is i've totally undervalued these as they seem to be going for a lot more than I expected, or it could possibly be the fact that I'm only after parts for mine and that is why I want to pick one up cheap!

the b6oo and all its mates are virtualy indistuctable and that is why they fetch such a high price
you see a lot of mid seventys on caravans that have converted to these cookers as they still look the part, and parts for the later hob units are very very hard to find
keep looking friday adds, gumtree, and ebay they turn up regulally but as you say they arn't cheep

As you say there has been plenty of the b600s on ebay, but only the later ones with the later type chrome handle on the oven door and later type top and pan stands. The most common are the later brown b600s. What I'm after is something of the correct period for my van - the one with the plastic (probably bakelite) oven door handle and the smaller opening (sort of sausage shape) for the grill. At least some of these had 1 larger ring and 1 smaller ring on the hob too. If I can't get this one the slightly later model with the skinny chrome handle across the front would do (fitted up to the mid 60s), or something similar by another maker from the same period. As I said happy to pay a sensible price, I know they sell for a decent amount these days. Someone must have one.... please....
