I have never liked the BL Champagne beige or Sandglow or Snapdragon. I have never fancied white as a colour either as its too hard to keep clean. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

i think the only vehicles sandglow looks good on, is the camel trophy landrovers /range rovers.
not too keen on metallics either, these new cars are half laquered under the bonnets door shuts etc.and dont start me on orange peel on modern car finishes. my mums brand new metallic blue punto was so bad, when i looked at it and told her the paint is awful she took it back to fiat and told them to refinish it or will be wanting a full refund. so they sent it to their bodyshop it came back better but i wouldnt say brilliant .that was after it broke down 5 miles from the dealers .then they found out half the screws and caps were missing out of those plastic arch liners .and the soundproofing under the bonnet was sagging onto the engine when she opened the bonnet .there was a batch of 30 new punto's delivered. all of them unfinished /poor paint jobs etc .ill keep to my classics thanks . |

A white car is far easier to keep clean than a black one!

White cars can't hide the rust either - even the tiniest stonechip can't fester for long without you knowing about it. I don't like beige, or the ubiquitous silver-grey colour you get now, or the weird opalescent colours some of the boyracers go in for round here, or orange, or most shades of brown, or... |

Green. I once had two green company cars. Driving to work in them through the countryside was a nightmare as they were too well camouflaged. I had to drive the lights on all the time and got flashed at constantly. |

Thats why GPO telephones vans went from being Bronze Green to bright yellow, you can imagine a parked bronze green linesmans van on a country road blending in perfectly with the backdrop!

Hi
Why is it that if you park a white car next to a black car and it rains, that all the white dirt settles on the black one and the black dirt settles on the white one???????? _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

There was one parked up for a while not far from here, gradually falling apart until the scrapman carted it away. The paintworked looked like someone had been downing alternate pints of chilli sauce and absinthe before puking all over the thing - and recently enough that it was still oozing downwards. I'm amazed that such nasty paint was ever manufactured, never mind some idiot thinking it was a good idea to spray it on a car |

I got a killer deal on a hardly used, 4-year old 1972 Austin 1800S in 1976 (YGG 111 J) from a retired gentleman who found it too big for him to drive - however it was a BL colour I'd never normally buy ....... Limeflower. |

On a warm day a white car is always cold to touch as white deflects heat.
I have only had one two tone car a 1957 Consul. Light blue with a dark blue roof. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |
